⚠️ These tools will disagree with each other, sometimes wildly. That's normal — they test from different places on different simulated devices. Trust the pessimistic one, because it's usually describing a real person on a phone.

Read this before quoting the number

  • This is a model, not a measurement. It applies a general speed-to-conversion relationship to your figures. Your site is not the average site.
  • Speed is rarely the only problem. If your conversion rate is 0.3%, the page is not slow — it's unconvincing. Fixing speed will not rescue a page nobody wanted to act on.
  • The gain flattens. Going 8s → 3s changes behaviour. Going 1.4s → 1.1s mostly changes a score. Spend the effort where people actually notice.
  • Test it properly first. Run PageSpeed Insights on mobile, or open your site on a phone with wifi off and count. Guessing your current speed makes everything below fiction.
